What are the technical requirements?

One of the perks of iPanda is that you learn in virtual classrooms. This means that you can study from the comfort of your own home 24/7 whenever you decide to book a class.

Before signing up with iPanda or after newly signing up, you are surely curious how all of this works and what is needed for this.

What software does iPanda use?

We use a software called Zoom for our classes. Zoom is the leader in modern enterprise video communications, with an easy, reliable cloud platform for video and audio conferencing, chat, and webinars. As the software is very reliable and runs on a wide range of operating systems, we chose to make them our virtual classroom.

Zoom can either be used directly in your browser or downloaded - the download of Zoom is free of charge. We generally recommend downloading Zoom.

Please keep in mind that you do not need to create a Zoom Account or buy a licence - all of this is taken care of “backstage” from our side.

What do I need?

In order to make the best out of your virtual classroom experience, we have a few tips in store.

  • Ideally, make sure you use Google Chrome, as this browser has the highest compatibility rate with Zoom.

  • Regardless which browser you choose to use, please always make sure to use the latest version.

  • Even though smartphones/tablets or 4G connection can be used to take part in classes, we recommend using a PC or Laptop with a cable connection to the internet as this guarantees top speed and stability.

  • A working microphone and webcam.

System Requirements

Zoom has created a list naming all system requirements for PC, Mac and Linux. If you are interested in looking into these requirements more in-depth, you can do so here.
